Discipline

Q. What kind of discipline do you use?

A. Good morals and manners are woven into each day.  These lessons are learned through storybooks, Bible stories, and most importantly though our staffs' living example to the children.  When necessary, we practice a calming time (time out) where a child sits alone until they are ready to talk about the event leading up to the time out.  After the calming time we redirect the child and help them reenter classroom activities.  This creates a safe place socially and emotionally.

Q. As Above & Beyond is a Christian Preschool, is there a specific denomination that is taught?

A. No, our preschool is non-denominational and we teach the basics of Christianity.

Q. Will I be called to pick up my child if they are crying?

A. No
